One of the so-called Manila shawls. Magnificently hand-embroidered in its entire central cloth with Chinese and floral motifs. Excellent quality of the embroidery and beautiful contrast of the ivory embroidery with the background fabric, in cauldron colour silk crepe. Its manufacturing period is probably the end of the 19th century and it is in really mint condition. It is rare to find a shawl in such a good condition. Dimensions of the central area: 160 cm x 160 cm, plus 55 cm of fringe (20 cm with hand-embroidered macrame latticework and 35 cm of straight fringe)
