On the 13th of March 1937 the Italian-American motorcyclist, 'Smokey' Joe Petrali, rewrote the history of racing. He broke the world motorcycle speed record on a Harley Davidson Knucklehead, travelling at 219.160 km/h (136.183 mph) and paving the way for a new generation of record breakers. This phenomenal record and almost 70 national race wins earned him a place in the Racing Hall of Fame. 316L steel case measuring 47 mm. TCM modified, automatic ETA 2824-2 25 movement. Knurled crown at 2 o'clock. The dial rotates so that it is easily read whilst riding. The matte black dial features a tachymetric scale around the perimeter. Inside this are the hands and numbers which have a luminescent coating. Date display at 3 o'clock. An embossed emblem of the Harley Davidson Knucklehead is featured at 6 o'clock to commemorate the record. There is a copper medallion on the back bearing the image of the motorcycle and Joe Petrali and the details of the record. Water resistant up to 50 m.
